Formerly the Associate Publisher of Interview magazine in New York. After spending 13 years in the New York publishing industry, she divides her time between Gearhart and Portland, where her dog Sherlock is her constant companion in her efforts on behalf of stray and needy animals everywhere.
Julia Szabo is a journalist, stylist, and photographer; she writes the enormously popular weekly "Pets" column for the Sunday New York Post and the monthly "You and Your Pet" column for Country Living Magazine. The author of "Animal House Style: Designing a Home to Share With Your Pets" (Bulfinch Press) and "Where Sleeping Dogs Lie: Cozy Canines and their Napping Nests" (Stewart, Tabori & Chang), she makes frequent television and radio appearances as a pet expert, and answers listeners' questions every Tuesday night at eleven o'clock EST in the "Pet Penthouse" segment of Sirius Satellite Radio's "Frank DeCaro Show." She lives in New York City with her beloved family of rescued dogs and cats.
Holly Abel is the web manager of Ark Online. She is a vegan high school sophomore in California and loves musical theatre and vegan baking. Holly is also the author of the blog I Was a Teenage Vegan.
